To Katherine, the valley was an exile. Forced out of her job at Joja, she had no interest in reviving the farm - she was only concerned with clearing her name.
That wasn't what happened.
To Elliott, the valley was a final blank page, the perfect rewrite to escape his childhood. He was happy. He was writing. He didn't think he was missing anything.
He might've be right.Inspired by a conversation with a friend who said Elliott's actions are only excusable if you accept that he grew up in a reclusive religious sect. Which definitely shouldn't have spawned 100k, but here we are :shrug:
