Hanbin froze.
His entire body stilled, and he blinked down at Hao with wide eyes. His heart skipped—no, slammed—a beat.
“What?” he whispered, barely able to get the word out.
Hao blinked slowly, still watching him. “I couldn’t bring him home tonight,” he muttered. “He smelled like you.”
Hao had a pretty good life with his roommates, Hanbin and Gyuvin. Sure, he was dealing with his own dramatic mess, but maybe the real turning point was when someone dropped the bomb—Hanbin, his roommate and best friend of seven years, had actually been in love with him this whole time!

Summary
Hanbin is turned away, fiddling with the clamps on the bar when Hao says, “I wonder if you could bench press me?” It sounds like he’s thinking out loud, the words soft like Hanbin wasn’t meant to hear them. He whips his head around. Hao has his head quirked to the side, a finger held idly to his bottom lip. His eyes are set on Hanbin, but they’re unfocused like he’s off somewhere else.
“...What?” Hanbin questions. Hao’s eyes refocus like he’s just remembered where he is. He smiles, then giggles to himself.
“Nothing,” he sings, and before Hanbin can even think to prod further, he’s turning on his heel without another word, heading back to the treadmill.
Or: Hao tries to press Hanbin’s buttons. Some other buttons come undone.

Sure enough, when Hanbin flings open the door to his father’s bedroom, he comes face to face with a tall figure reeling back in shock at the sudden proximity. Spurred by the advantage he’s obtained, Hanbin lunges forth and captures the intruder in his arms. A strangled intake of breath huffs out as the two of them engage in a power struggle—the stranger wriggling with all their might to break free; Hanbin gritting his teeth and holding on for dear life.
Somewhere in their tussle, he manages to yank aside the hood pulled low over the intruder’s head, letting out a shout of victory that dissipates into thin air as quickly as it began upon the reveal of a stricken face.
Flawless skin. Full lips. Delicate nose. Sweet, floral perfume. Thick, dark hair spilling into wide eyes gleaming in the moonlight.
Oh, Hanbin mouths, stunned. His grip slackens. He’s beautiful.

Summary
He thinks that maybe if he never met Hanbin, this vision of love would've eventually faded away and been replaced with something safer. As he grew older that fantasy would've been beaten against the rocks until the jagged edges were flattened out, until all that was left was the smoothness of normalcy. He could run a tentative finger across it and not have to pop that finger into his mouth to staunch the blood flow. But where's the fun in that?
Zhang Hao only wants one thing for himself.

Summary

Relaxation is a word that doesn’t crop up often in Hanbin’s vocabulary. He thinks it’s time to change that.
