Summary
Now that he’s risen through the ranks to Wingleader, Xaden Riorson only has one goal for his last year at Basgiath: Get all the marked kids bonded and graduated so they can fight the real enemy lurking at the borders.

It follows the dialogue and timeline from Fourth Wing with my own interpretations and theories of Xaden’s actions and feelings. As it was written before the release of Iron Flame, all ideas and theories are just that – theories. Many elements are my own head cannons/speculation and are unconfirmed by Rebecca Yarros.
I would recommend reading Fourth Wing first as there are major plot spoilers throughout!
