Summary
Multiple glimpses into the lives of Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, each on New Years Eve, but occurring as if there were some key changes to the MCU timeline (Steve doesn't leave, and Clint dies instead of Natasha).
I try to keep it as realistic as possible, but the canon divergences get more and more severe as the story goes on; with each chapter being further and further apart in the timeline, but also containing flashbacks (aside from the interlude, which is entirely a flashback). The events of this fic range from 1943 to 2318 (the last chapter will contain 2026-2318, and each chapter, aside from the first one, contains flashbacks ranging from 1943-2023).
Basically this whole fic is pretty much the way I wish Marvel had decided to end stuff, but in a realistic way. If i tried to be too optimistic it wouldn't be very good, so this is kinda just domestic Stevebucky, with a couple other gay ships mixed in for fun, but not without a fun dose of depressing plot elements!Series

Getting kidnapped was one thing. But getting kidnapped alongside Tony Stark, Bucky Barnes, and Steve Rogers? That was a whole other shitfest entirely. Sure, part of Peter couldn't deny how freakin' cool it was that he was sitting alongside some of Earth's mightiest heroes, but the other, less optimistic part of Peter was starting to realise how he was in more trouble than he could possibly imagine.
