Summary
Historians, while unable to pinpoint the first instance of the affliction or trace its exact origins, have found it to be the rarest yet most fatal illness in recorded history. The earliest finding was discovered in worn-down journals thought to be from the golden age of piracy. These writings chronicled the painful experiences of the afflicted—stories of cursed love and scattered blossoms. While the outcome of this particular story is unknown and lost to time, the accounts ultimately form the basis of what we know today. Though there are a few courses of treatment for patients, they have proven to be largely unsuccessful in yielding full recovery. It is often colloquially said that to develop hanahaki disease is to "condemn one's life for love.”

In a world where Seonghwa gets swept away from his normal life, he accidentally becomes involved with an organization called S.H.I.E.L.D. after an incident caused by a power he couldn't control. Its leader offers him protection from the charges, but only if Seonghwa agrees to assist them on their next mission. Hesitantly, he agrees, and somewhere along the way he meets eight very different walks of life—including an agent in the organization by the name of Kim Hongjoong.
Soon enough, the eight of them find themselves summoned to join together as a team called the Avengers. They must learn to survive and fight threats bigger than themselves—collecting Infinity Stones before their world falls to ruin.
