Summary
Jude has spent years loving Erling quietly. From behind café counters, beneath borrowed umbrellas, and in all the small spaces their friendship allows.
Then one ordinary trip to the supermarket catches the world’s attention.
Suddenly, everyone wants to know why football’s most famous alpha looks at his best friend as though the crowded aisle contains no one else.
Jude has no answer.
Erling might.

“You always this confident?” Jude questioned, clearly annoyed.
“Only when I know I’m getting your attention,” Erling replied with a smirk.
“You’re not.”
“Really?” Erling raised an eyebrow. “How many goals do I have to score before I get it?”
Jude stepped closer, refusing to let him see him react. “We play tomorrow.”
“And?”
“You’re not scoring.”
“We’ll see about that.”
It’s the 2026 World Cup, and England is set to play Norway in the quarterfinals. After four years of silence following a friendship that ended in heartbreak, Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland are reunited on football’s biggest stage. Between old promises, unresolved feelings, and ninety minutes that could change everything, ignoring the past may no longer be an option.

“You came on to me,” Shane says, and adds, “duh,” for good measure, because there is no universe in which that could have unfolded any other way.
“Yes,” Ilya agrees easily, “after you pointed your boner at me in the shower after practice.”
“That did not happen,” Shane mutters. “And you can’t say that at the interview.”Or Ilya and Shane get (fake) married for papers.
