Impulse wasn't really sure when he'd fallen to his knees, but the pain in his right leg doubled, and he just wanted it to stop. He just wanted it all to stop.
He barely made out five sets of footsteps walking away, and then all Impulse was left with was the dim whirring of a streetlamp nearby, and his own labored, shallow breathing.
I can’t die yet.
___Or, Impulse finds himself stuck in a rather sticky situation, and only has one way to turn for help.
