Summary
Scaramouche has been sent off to a boarding school, his mother seemingly angry with him after he'd been expelled from his previous one.
It's there that he meets Ajax, one of the most popular boys at school. Having to even see him in class was already enough. To make it worse, he has to live with him. It was as cliché as a teen romance movie.
In addition to their constant fighting and arguments, they keep accidentally meeting and pissing each other off. Scaramouche was in his senior year, so he just had a few months before he could say good riddance to Ajax and head off to college. Surely, he wouldn't kill him by then.
... Right?

Summary
He rolled his eyes, “you mean to tell me you got me an errand peasant boy to carry my things around?”
“You’re the one who begged for one immediately,” Ei replied smoothly. She reached out, gently patting his hair, ruffling the indigo strands as if he were still a boy clinging to her skirts. “I hired the first person who didn’t reek of the sewers. He’s also young and in shape, so you’ll be able to send him on as many errands as you’d like.”
-
Scaramouche has never known anything beyond luxury. Born into wealth, he’s spent his life surrounded by silk, servants, and the quiet arrogance of those who never had to struggle. But when his mother hires an errand boy from the village his world begins to crack.Ajax comes from nothing. He’s known hunger, cold nights, and the kind of work that grinds the body down before adulthood ever arrives. Yet somehow, he still smiles. He still finds warmth in the smallest things, laughter where others would find bitterness.
As Scaramouche is forced to see life through Ajax’s eyes, he begins to realize that maybe wealth isn’t measured in mora after all.

Summary
"The people who keep showing this on national TV are worse than clingy exes," he says. "It's been two weeks, assholes, everybody moved on. Nobody cares anymore. Television people whine about not getting enough watch time since streaming went global, but then they won't even get with the program. It's ridiculous."
For some unfathomable reason, the camera shifts lower to show off the curve of Childe's throat and the cut of his jaw. Scaramouche is so outraged he sputters in his seat.
"Why the fuck would anyone want to watch this?"
Lumine snorts. "For the same reason you haven't switched channels yet."
He throws the remote at her face.
Or, Scaramouche's lived his entire life half-stuck to the global platinum band that is the Harbingers. When he emancipates from it, he doesn't expect that it'll propulse him into another, lesser-known band that's everything the Harbingers was not: warm, kind, and infused with bubble gum pop.
In parallel, Childe, a minor indie celebrity who's orbited around him for years, crash-lands straight into his business and doesn't seem willing to leave.
He used to be emotionally constipated: he probably won't be for much longer.

Summary
Scaramouche’s life was a maze of tangled thoughts and unresolved dilemmas. While others his age built relationships and chased success, he remained distant, preferring the edges of life over the center.
On occasion, he would feel a hollow ache, a yearning for something he couldn’t quite define. Yet he dismissed it as quickly as it arose, convincing himself he was above such needs, that solitude was strength. Deep down, though, he knew something essential was missing.
That was until a series of unplanned and spectacularly poor choices shattered his well-kept facade. It led him down an unfamiliar path – a messy, chaotic road he’d never planned to explore. He stumbled into something unexpected—something warm and genuine that made him feel alive in ways he never had. For the first time, Scaramouche felt a sense of belonging. He felt human.
Yet, his mind was a storm of contradictions. As warmth entered his life, so did fear, self-doubt, and the defenses he’d built over the years. These threatened to crush the fragile feeling before it could grow. Now, the question was whether he could hold onto this fragile sense of purpose or if he’d let his own chaotic mind destroy it–and his last chance at something real. -

Summary
Kim Hajin is a failure. There's no two ways to look at that objective truth. It's a truth that resonates through how others look at and ridicule him. It's a truth that echoes infinitely inside his head, compounding and doubling down on his inadequacies. It's a truth, despite the unconditional love of two parents that soothe but cannot dispel those haunting doubts.
Kim Suho is simply perfection. The desperate vessel and ideal of Hajin's "ifs" and wishes. Because Kim Suho, the protagonist of Hajin's novel, is everything Hajin wants to be for his parents and more. But, that story falls apart at the seams the same way Hajin has lost faith in himself.
Yet, as the common narrative dictates, everything begins anew with an innocuous email requesting to remake Hajin's novel.
***
Alternatively, the extremes of Korean culture break Kim Hajin into someone who feels much more acutely, and everything shifts to the left.
