Summary
Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.

Peter Parker is a dumbass. He had about 3 hours of sleep this whole week and now it's Friday, aka the day of the field trip, but honestly, seeing as he is too tired to go to school let alone travel around a 93 floor building with a pest named Flash calling him slurs or making fun of his pretty much freshly buried Aunt. So Peter skips the school day to maybe take a break, get some sleep, then help out the interns, Tony, labs, and just try to get in some CEO practice considering he will take over SI after Pep and Tony retire. But thanks to Parker Luck™, that won't be the case.

Newt is sick but he's not Gone. The Flare doesn't define him and Thomas is going to do everything he can to prove that and save him.
Thomas moved and wrapped his arms around Newt’s chest, his hands up and pressed between Newt’s shoulder blades. “I’m not afraid of them,” he whispered in his ear as Newt bowed his head, his lips and nose against Thomas’s neck.
“You should be afraid of me. I’ll kill you.”
“You won’t. This isn’t you.”
Newt sniffled, his breathing coming out as harsh pants, whines in the back of his throat. “It is. It’s in me, I can feel it.”
Or, a fix it where Newt lives because I (and most others, I think) said so.
