“It brought back some bad memories, I think.”
It’s like he’s tearing himself open right now, revealing the raw truth that resided in him. He’s been told being able to talk to others about your issues was a sign of growth or something of that sort, but Simon struggled to see the truth in it. Even now, just opening up the smallest door to his brain, felt like he was dumping far too much onto someone with plenty of other things to think about. Even worse was the burning sensation building behind his eyes, pushing and causing a watery pressure to form. He blinks a little harder.
“With the video?” Wilhelm questions softly, lowering one of his hands to hold Simon’s other one, which was residing on his lap.
Simon shrugs again, looking smaller. “Not just that,” he musters up, finally moving Wilhelm’s hand that was still on his face down. He holds both of Wille’s fingers in his palms, giving them a tender squeeze. If he was being truthful, it was definitely more so for his own comfort than anyone else’s. “Everything after, too.”

“Henry, please.”
“I do not think I should do that.” Alex responded with a reply just as stubborn, not wanting to put his neck out for a blade. “You are the prince, and I am a mere knight, it would not be proper.”
Henry's hum filled the air, one thought, his head tilting slowly to the side as he surveyed Alex's expression. “That we are,” he agreed with a nod. “However, there is no one else here.” He brought one hand up, motioning towards the open field. “For now, we are simply Henry and Alexander.” The hand that was outstretched towards the land now moved towards Alex, being offered to him. “Is that alright with you?”
The previous mask of calm cracked at the sound of his own name. He hadn’t even been aware of the fact that Henry knew what it was; His eyes danced to Henry's open fingers, the ones waiting for an answer. Alex blinked, inhaling before hesitantly bringing his own hand forward, settling it over the other’s. Henry's skin felt smooth underneath his own coarse and calloused blisters, but the prince interlaced their fingers.
“Of course,” he breathed out.

“hey, um, sorry to change the topic, actually, but i kind of wanted to ask you something.”
benji blinked and suddenly his heart began to swell, a subconscious heat rising to his cheeks. there was no way this was going to be what he hoped it was, but what if it did turn out to be like that? for a moment, benji could vividly picture victor’s own cheeks flushing subtly, a timid look in his eyes as he fiddled with his fingers subconsciously, making nervous eye contact. then, he swore he could hear victor’s voice, smooth and charming, say, “benji, i wanted to tell you that…i’m gay, like you, and…i think i’m in love with you. do you…wanna go out with me? i want to be with you forever.”
instead, it was:
“do you wanna try joining the basketball team?”
