Summary
Kaeya had been so sure the Darknight Hero had been Diluc. How could it
not be? A six-foot claymore user with a Pyro Vision and intense dislike for
anything to do with the Fatui and the Abyss? But then he sees Diluc himself
standing opposite Mondstadt's own hero of the shadows, and his world flips
upside down. How could he have been this wrong?
But, nonetheless, he must investigate...even if that leads to forming a weird
sort of friendship with the masked menace and unintentionally using him as
therapy to vent about the one he used to be closest with, even if that
involves some...deeper feelings...and his "friendship" with that vigilante
starts to become more heated.

Summary
It was that time of year in Mondstadt. The time where many people got dressed up, carried a painted woven basket, and went from house to house in exchange for sweets.
There was just one mishap though.
Kaeya was supposed to go with Klee, as a princess and a knight. The costume designer seemed to have misunderstood who was going to be the princess and knight though, judging by the wrongly sized costumes.
But when Klee seemed this excited about it, what else was Kaeya to do but roll with it?

Had you asked Kaeya if he was willing to bottom a few months ago, he would have scoffed at you and left. Had you asked Kaeya if he was willing to bottom for the Traveler a few weeks ago, he would have considered it briefly, but would have still ended up chuckling because - come on, for Archons' sake, have you seen him? Sure, he was the Honorary Knight here in Mondstat and whatever other titles he had from the other nations, but he didn't exude that kind of energy at all.
Kaeya was, in fact, very, very wrong.

The abyss prince asked conversationally. Aether then went to nibble his ear, letting the knight hear how wet his breath and how feral and insane Kaeya made him feel.
“Are you happy, living like…” Aether’s words died in his throat. Living like a prisoner, living in somewhere you don’t belong? went unsaid. Somehow, the idea of Kaeya might have felt a sense of belonging to somewhere he shouldn’t have belonged, unnerved and upset Aether, more than if the man had only felt like he did not belong.
“…living like this?” he asked instead, something that Aether’s mind refused to classify as desperation seeping through his tone.
“Are you happy, Kaeya?”
