Summary
Shane can’t turn down a job offer from the Mayor to find out what—or who—keeps making post-midnight ruckus in the town graveyard. When the clock hits half-past-one, a monster comes barreling at him from the beach.
He tries to run, trips over the graveyard fence and loses his footing and—
“D-Dorothy?” he asks, confused. “What the hell do you think you’re doing this late at night? Scared me half to death sprinting at me like that!”
He accompanies Farmgirl Dorothy back to her cabin, where he finds out there’s more to this chance meeting than he thought there ever could be.
