    “You!” he shouts.

    “Yes,” the attendant says. He flashes a wicked sneer that shows all his teeth. “Me.”

    “What are you doing here?” he accuses.

    “Oh, me?” He nuzzles his chin into the curve of Mona’s neck. His black fingernails trails over her shoulder, and the astrologist breaths through her nose, skin burning red. “I don’t see how that’s any of your business.”

     

    Or: a boy crushing on the famed astrologist mona megistus realizes her cat hates him with a passion, for some odd reason.
