Summary
There was a sudden howl outside, a gust against the door that made it rock in its frame. The light was fading fast, and Wei Wuxian couldn’t help but think of all the things that might be in these mountains, supernatural or not.
“Ah what I wouldn’t give for a jar of wine,” he said, speaking over his fear, tamping it down. “Even just ordinary village wine. How will we while away the evening by the fire? I don’t suppose you know any interesting stories.”
“No,” Lan Zhan said, shortly.
“Or campfire songs,” Wei Wuxian mused. “I know you have your guqin, but it isn’t the same. Well, it’ll have to be a game of questions, then.”
He glanced up and over at Lan Zhan, hoping to catch a grimace of dismay. Lan Zhan did not disappoint. Maybe other people wouldn’t have read that slight contraction of Lan Zhan’s perfect features the same way, but Wei Wuxian wasn’t other people. He laughed.
“First question,” he said. “What’s it like being an alpha?”

It’s for patients, usually.
The room’s walls have one blank stretch. Luo Qingyang wants to shove Wen Qing up against it.
When the Yiling Wei sect hosts a diplomatic meeting, Mianmian and Wen Qing continue their discussion after hours.

“And this was Lan Wangji’s idea?” asks Nie Huaisang, looking over at Lan Wangji consideringly. He’d always suspected that the younger jade was likely kinkier than most would imagine, but he’d also thought him possessive. That he’d be willing to share Wei Wuxian this way was surprising… and appealing.
“It is what Wei Ying wants,” says Lan Wangji serenely. Right. As if one of the first demands hadn’t been that Lan Wangji would be present for all of it.
“Is that a yes, then?” asks Wei-xiong, looking not unlike an enthusiastic puppy, all big eyes and bigger smile.
“Of course.” says Nie Huaisang. He’s always down to try new things, and to be honest he’s a bit flattered to be the one asked. “Wei-xiong, wasn’t I the one who introduced you to such ideas, all those years ago?” he arches his eyebrow careful to hide his grin behind his fan.
(Or: Post canon, WangXian love their rape roleplays... except Lan Zhan just can't pretend to not be into his husband. Enter Nie Huaisang, some kink negotiation, and a really incredible night of role-play.)

Summary
Lan Wangji arrives at Nevernight Manor expecting a quick exorcism, but his host is startlingly uncooperative. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji will sometimes have to be apart; Wei Wuxian knows this. That’s just how life goes. That doesn’t mean he has to like it, nor does it mean he can’t take measures to minimize the distance.
Wei Wuxian pulls the final stitch taut and ties off the thread, humming to himself as he snips off the ends. He sets the needle and scissors aside and lifts the small figure, examining his handiwork.
He wonders what Lan Wangji will think of his solution, and smiles.

Xichen looks at his sworn brothers lying across the room. They seem so quiet. So still. He can barely believe what Wei Wuxian is saying. The rest of the world fades out as he stares.
“So what can be done?” he whispers.
“As far as I can see, we have two choices. Choice one: we destroy them completely. It would be difficult, but I think it could be done. But… it would be destroying them completely. It would mean shattering their souls.”
Xichen doesn’t feel the floor as he drops to his knees; it is just that one moment he is standing, and the next he is not. He isn’t even seeing them anymore, his eyes have unfocused, and yet they are all he can see.
Could he do it? Could he shatter their souls - destroy their very essence, prevent them from ever reincarnating, ever getting an opportunity to find peace - truly and utterly severing their link to this world and making fully certain that Xichen will never meet them again - all for the sake of the greater good?

Lan Sizhui freezes, still as stone, as his eyes come to rest on the messily scrawled characters on the first page. His own hand, years old.
“I was tasked with clearing your room out and moving your belongings from the junior disciples’ quarters to your new home.” His father continues, “Two of the boxes you were keeping old papers in were moldy. I laid them out in the sun to air them out. I was not intending to invade your privacy.” He finishes softly.
Sizhui can’t look up, mouth open in shock, tears welling up in his eyes. He’d almost forgotten about these papers. They should have never seen the light of day.
Lan Wangji accidentally stumbles onto the erotica Lan Sizhui wrote when he was a teenager. Sizhui is mortified, especially considering just who the things he wrote were about.
