The shop owner looked between the two of them delightedly and obliviously. “Ah, very good, you are friends? Will make teaching easier, yes, Severus?”
Before Sirius could jut in with a snide response, to his surprise, Snape spoke up first. “No, well…we knew each other in secondary school, that’s all.”

Summary
For years James Potter has made Severus Snape's life a living hell with no remorse. Now, after being attacked one night while out in the woods by his house, James finds himself needing the young potion prodigy's help finding a cure for his newfound sickness.
Severus Snape is understandably hesitant at first to agree but when James says he will finally leave him alone and even help him and Lily become friends again he can't refuse.
Can the two boys settle their issues long enough to work together to cure James? or will James struggle to control himself and ruin everything and his life in the process?

After the incident by the Black Lake, his red-haired angel had finally managed to break free from that sullen, greasy snake. He ought to have been relieved—yet he can’t stop paying attention to one thing:
That Slytherin… has changed.
The boy who always hunched over, who kept himself tucked into shadows as if he didn’t quite belong—now walks with a straight back, his former unease replaced by a sharp, steady focus. He ignores every gaze on him, striding down the corridors with quick, decisive steps, the hem of his robes sweeping behind him in dark, wave-like ripples.
Once, James even caught Snape standing by a window, watching a group of younger students roughhousing in the hall with a cold, assessing stare—as if he might deduct points any second, as if he had the authority to do that.
James can’t make sense of it.
