The shop owner looked between the two of them delightedly and obliviously. “Ah, very good, you are friends? Will make teaching easier, yes, Severus?”
Before Sirius could jut in with a snide response, to his surprise, Snape spoke up first. “No, well…we knew each other in secondary school, that’s all.”
Sirius blinked.

Summary
For years James Potter has made Severus Snape's life a living hell with no remorse. Now, after being attacked one night while out in the woods by his house, James finds himself needing the young potion prodigy's help finding a cure for his newfound sickness.
Severus Snape is understandably hesitant at first to agree but when James says he will finally leave him alone and even help him and Lily become friends again he can't refuse.
Can the two boys settle their issues long enough to work together to cure James? or will James struggle to control himself and ruin everything and his life in the process?

After the incident by the Black Lake, his red-haired angel had finally managed to break free from that sullen, greasy snake. He ought to have been relieved—yet he can’t stop paying attention to one thing:
That Slytherin… has changed.
The boy who always hunched over, who kept himself tucked into shadows as if he didn’t quite belong—now walks with a straight back, his former unease replaced by a sharp, steady focus. He ignores every gaze on him, striding down the corridors with quick, decisive steps, the hem of his robes sweeping behind him in dark, wave-like ripples.
Once, James even caught Snape standing by a window, watching a group of younger students roughhousing in the hall with a cold, assessing stare—as if he might deduct points any second, as if he had the authority to do that.
James can’t make sense of it.

And James wanted to say no, he really wanted Okay? He wanted to tell Sirius that this their last year in Hogwarts, they were supposed to make an example for the younger ones, that's what he wanted to say, that's what he should say, that's what he was gonna say.
But this was the third week of the seventh year and Snape hasn't looked in his direction, not even once, with exception for that little fight they had in detention he had not a single glimpse of those black eyes in his direction, and James was only human, he needed Snape’ s dark ferocious eyes on his, he needed that terrible boy’s cruel words to be directed at him, and him only, and so he answered…
“He will go to the music tower two hours before dinner, we could talk to him alone then.” Sirius grin was nothing less than wolfish as James said that, and James knew he didn't look any better.
…like the edacious man he was.

Snape pulled James closer tugging on his hair again, and bit his lower lip fiercely before thrusted his tongue into James’s mouth. It was his way of concluding the matter, and James was thoroughly enthralled by the captivating distraction.

Summary
In a not-well defined (because the author is dumb) historical time, James Potter is the young lord of the Potter family, who happens to own the poor persona of Severus Snape that works there as part of the servitude, as personal server of mostly James.
In this particular universe, the servitude has to wear a mask on the face, and in the particular case of Severus, James' father Fleamont Potter has also forbidden Severus to reveal his name to James.
Severus has been working with James for about two years when an accident happen that will lead them to know more and more about each other until both of their masks will fall.
(It's different from my usual stories because here James is quite kind, so it's kinda more of a cute story for once)
