Summary
The surfing school is a shack.
Not in the figurative sense, as in, an unkept building. No, it’s an actual shack by the side of the beach’s boardwalk.
The unoriginal name, SUNSHINE AND SURF, is hand painted on its front in big, bold yellow and blue letters, alongside a smaller plank of wood, seemingly an afterthought, describing their services as “equipment rentals and sales, courses and” an ominous “so much more…”
When Minho receives a coupon for a three-day surfing course, he tries every trick in the book to get out of going. But when he finally meets his hot surfing instructor he realizes that, perhaps, surfing might not be as bad as he thought. After all, what could go wrong? It's not like knowing how to swim is a hard requirement.

Summary
“This was me three weeks ago. Spry, full of life, well dressed, all of that. Look at me now.” He pointed at himself.
“Unwashed?” Changbin questioned.
“Well, I wouldn’t put it like that,” Jeongin grumbled before continuing. “You may be wondering what happened to make me go from that to this.” When neither Seungmin nor Changbin offered up a guess, he kept going. “I have reasonable belief that I’m being haunted!” There was a palpable silence as Seungmin and Changbin took in Jeongin’s declaration. It was okay—Jeongin would give them all the time they needed.
“No. I’m not doing this. You can rope someone else into your shenanigans.” Seungmin moved to stand up, avoiding eye contact.
“Please don’t leave! I need your help,” Jeongin begged. “You don’t even want to hear my evidence?” With a sigh, Seungmin sat back down. Maybe he had a conscience after all.
“Fine. This better be worth getting up at eight on a Saturday for.”
“Thank you!” Jeongin pointed to a paper on the wall that he had written “Three Weeks Ago” on. “It all starts here…”

Summary
"If you could do anything," Jisung continues. "No consequences. What would you do?"
"I would kiss you,” Minho says.
"You can.”
"I can't."
“I can keep a secret, Minho,” Jisung says, leaning over the center console, taking up Minho’s space because he knows how much Minho likes Jisung taking up his space.
ෆ
Or: Jisung is a university senior running from what happened last semester. Minho is his older, crush-worthy professor who makes for a mind-numbing distraction.

Summary
Nothing in Minho's life is ever complete until he's shared it with Jisung; such has been the case for the last twenty years. It gets to a point.
He's seen Jisung interact with countless patients and families. He’s seen how his charm and confidence make even the parents who side eye him for his youthful face and the tattoos on his arms come to trust him with their entire worlds. The children themselves are even quicker to warm up to him, and Jisung is always able to examine them without any major fuss.
Sometimes Minho wishes he could send him off to do his rounds for him.

Summary
“You’re welcome to crash at my place,” Minho ventured. “I have plenty of room.”
“Oh.”
“Only because I live around the corner."
“Right,” Jisung agreed. “Only because the trains are down.”
“Right.” Minho’s voice was deadpan, but his eyes smiled, like they were sharing a silent joke. “And only because we’re friends now, and friends look out for other.”
“Right,” Jisung repeated, something tugging at his chest. “Friends.”

(in which han jisung gets an offer he can't refuse: babysit the intern for a month, get the dream job. the only catch? said intern is none other than the allegedly cold, undeniably gorgeous, undercover son of the company CEO.)
