“Geralt!” Jaskier breathes and waves his hand. It’s made difficult by Geralt still holding it, but Jaskier tries his best. “My hand moves! Without me moving it!” He looks up at Geralt, his eyes massive. “Have you ever heard of such a thing?!”
“Yes, you’re very talented,” Geralt says, and Jaskier thinks he would like to kiss him for that, but the witcher seems very high up away. “Now go to sleep.”
(After an attack, Jaskier is under the influence of painkillers). (It goes about how you would expect).

Summary
It’s hard, at times, to keep playing at ignorance when the intrepid little moron dumps out the entire bundle of his sleek, downy-soft pelt in search of a new quill, but if he isn’t going to bring it up, Geralt’s certainly not going to pry, even though he does have to prompt the bard surreptitiously more than a few times when the flighty little pest evidently forgets all about his pelt and moves to happily trot along on his way, his freedom left behind in the dust. It’s a fine line Geralt walks, playing dumb while hyper-aware of the situation, but he manages to hold his peace and remain silent even when he wants to scold the selkie to be fucking careful. The bard babbles along at length throughout the day enough without prompting; gods forfend Geralt give him any sign of encouragement for more.
Still, despite Geralt’s best efforts, he finds that the selkie–who has chosen Jaskier as his name of all things–is growing on him.
It is, in a few words, fucking obnoxious.
(Jaskier is a selkie who is absolutely HORRIFIC at keeping up with his pelt) (lucky, then, that he has a witcher to do it for him)

“These are mine.”
Jaskier looks up at the sound of Geralt’s voice, blinking in surprise. The witcher’s tone is even, and his face unexpressive, but Jaskier still tries to read into the words. Geralt is holding a palmful of wrapped sweets in his hand, and a quick glance reveals them to be lemon candies, which Jaskier loves.
And which Geralt hates.
He frowns, confused.
“You don’t even like those,” he feels compelled to announce. His own lingering guilt and fear of being a burden after stealing Geralt’s dagger aside, it makes no sense why Geralt would suddenly decide to forbid candies he doesn’t even like when he’s never denied Jaskier things before. They’ve been to three other towns since then, and he hasn’t brought it up. Jaskier’s avoided any Mischief to avoid creating any problems since then, so it’s not as if he’s given him a pressing reason to suddenly feel the need to scold him.
“They’re mine,” Geralt continues, splitting them between both hands and tucking them into his pockets on either side. “So don’t steal them.”
(Jaskier is part fae and thus has a biological imperative for Mischief) (Geralt proves unexpectedly supportive about this)

Jaskier has no choice on the matter and he’s fully aware of the awful rumours that have spread about Geralt and his ruthless conquests. (But we all know those aren’t legit.) A classic angst with a happy ending please! A dash of smut to heal those scars and a sprinkle of new found love!
Jaskier arrives at Kaer Morhen knowing his family gave him up without a second thought, and absolutely sure that the dreaded Warlord of the North will value him even less than his own blood did. But the White Wolf and his pack are not what Jaskier expected...and if he's unreasonably lucky, Kaer Morhen might become far more of a home than Lettenhove ever was.
...He is, in fact, going to be unreasonably lucky, because the Warlord of the North is a far finer monarch - and a far better man - than Redania's king has ever dreamed of being.
