Me: Hey, idiot. When are we meeting?
I hit send before I could overthink it and tossed my phone across the room like it was radioactive. A sharp thud met my ears, and I flinched mentally, hitting myself. I ignored it for the moment, returning to my desk and preparing my energy drinks and mental health for an all-nighter. I wasn’t concerned in the least that Theodore was going to flunk this project. What I was worried about, however, was him contributing more than me. And that was something that was never going to happen.
My phone's sad little buzz from its corner broke through my thoughts. I ignored it for a solid ten seconds, death-staring it intensely, but curiosity won like it always did with him. I scrambled across the floor, grabbing my phone and wincing lightly at the brand new spiderweb-shaped crack embellishing my already beaten-up phone. Great. Just another thing to blame Theodore for.
