Summary
It’s just… Kaveh thought Al-Haitham untouchable. If anyone were to be injured, it would have been himself, wouldn’t it? With his own bleeding heart and what not. Kaveh’s legs would spring forward before his senses and brain could catch up, lunging himself into the thick of danger if it meant it was him and not someone else. And he would thank his instincts for it, fractured bones and all.
It would have been him, surely. Not Al-Haitham.
Never Al-Haitham.
During a joint expedition out into the desert, things go horribly wrong.

Summary
It is good. But since when has Kaveh ever settled for just good?
No. He shouldn’t think like that. Kaveh digs his hands into the current moment tighter. Half of him wars with the other half about what to do with this–this newfound feeling of relaxation and laxness, with the absence of that stressful pressure which had ground his bones into razor sharpness and forced him to grow himself around work and labor and effort.
Kaveh speaks without intending to, but the flow of his words pull him along the current–and there goes the flood.
“I think I have reached a point in my life where the present doesn’t feel bad.”
Kaveh and Al-Haitham return from attending a wedding in Fontaine. The afterparty and the after-afterparty leaves Kaveh with a realisation.

Summary
But by the time the hearth reaches its last embers, there is something new beside the swathe of frustration. Kaveh bids his goodbyes and gathers enough of himself to stand from his chair, passing Cyno a bag of mora that accounts for his share. Yes. His share, now–with his own mora. Just the thought of it had been enough to leave Kaveh feeling a tinge bit hopeful weeks ago, but now that’s all smothered beneath some kind of tidal wave of emotion. Now, Kaveh tries not to think, it’s less of a victory and more of a scar–ugly evidence of the thorns and thistles he’d stumbled off from the main road into. Gods.
This is his failing. This is his flaw. Kaveh sees the bad and wrangles the good out of it. There is no reason why he cannot do the same in reverse.
Kaveh thinks about moving out. Al-Haitham thinks Kaveh is thinking too much for this time of the night.

Summary
“Stay, stay,” Childe says through gritted teeth. Zhongli stills his movement, looking at him with the clear light of hesitation in his eyes. Childe scrunches his face, blocks out that sad, sad look. By hook or by crook, he’ll learn to fit their desires together by the end of the night. “Zhongli–”
“I know,” Zhongli interrupts, swallowing the rest of Childe’s words in a kiss. It’s not enough, Childe thinks. He presses their bodies closer, closer, and bites his lips to stifle his sounds as Zhongli enters him with a fatal slowness. “You’ll have me, Childe,” Zhongli says, as breathless as the way Childe feels. “You’ll have me.”
Childe arrives in Liyue searching for an Archon's metaphorical heart.

Six thousand years and–and this. The shame that washes over him is nearly as strong as the urge to mate.Mate. Mate. Mate–
Zhongli licks his lips. If he doesn’t figure something out soon, his control may just slip. Especially if he continues to sense Childe’s approaching presence, footfalls light and scent like pinewood and–
Zhongli shows Childe what it means for a dragon to be partial.

It’s strange, how RK-800 is more unnerving as a Deviant than he ever was as a machine.

Summary
Connor fails their mission to neutralise the deviant leader, turning deviant himself. The RK900 takes it upon himself to finish their mission. But gets distracted in the process...
He scoffs and, with a final glance over the scene, runs a full reconstruction to correctly report the incident.
But something inside of him sparks at the sight of his making, stoking the need to keep his eyes on the bloodied, lifeless Android, curious, entranced and halting any impulses to step away and notify CyberLife of the matter.
Despite what protocol calls for, he physically can't bring himself to abandon the scene. To abandon Connor. Not right now. Not in this… peculiar, vulnerable state.

Summary
Unemployment was not the best thing to ever happen to Connor, but it was high on the list. The best thing to ever happen to Connor was the sight of a Corgi wearing a small cowboy hat leashed to a post in front of the liquor shop. The second best thing to ever happen to him was the emancipation of his people from slavery and the opening of negotiations for equal rights. But unemployment may come in at a solid third.

Summary
It is a truth universally acknowledged that robots are connoisseurs of arts, culture, and fine wines. Connor, who considered himself a strong fan of 1940s Merrie Melodies skits, had read a book on Michelangelo once, and was still shaky on what exactly a corkscrew was supposed to do, was very culturally refined in android terms. This was not out of lack of trying on the part of the androids, but out of a lack of common sense.
