    Or: Shane tries to starve himself as punishment for losing, Ilya tries to feed him, and it turns into a very soft night of pampering because Ilya is legally incapable of staying angry at a crying Shane.

    so i love projecting my own issues on fictional characters and then have their s/o make them feel good about it or just be supportive in general. so when i see a fic like that i get sold and this one this one wasn't just dealing with the issue it was the mannerism bro the way shane was like "nope everything is fine i am fine everything is good bro you are overthinking it" but ilya was not budging that's my roman empire and it was presented so welllllll
