Mingi stands hunched in front of the mirror, with his shirt pushed up under his chin and his pants hung low on his hips, poking at the soft skin of his belly as he stares blankly at his reflection.
“Min? Are you okay?” Yunho whispers softly.
“I thought I was just getting kinda fat, y’know?” Mingi murmurs, biting at his lip, turning sideways so his stomach was in profile. “I never would’ve guessed I had a thing growing inside of me.”
Yunho gasps when he sees it; a barely-there bump, such an obvious sign now that they knew it was there.
Padding closer, Yunho embraces Mingi from behind, hooking his chin over his shoulder, hands settling on his belly, eyes flitting towards the printed-out sonogram propped up on the counter.
“Mingi. It’s not a thing. It’s a pup. Our pup.”

“That’s bad though,” San cried out. “Like really bad! He’d— why would they abandon him like that? Hasn’t he suffered enough?”
“That’s why he’s coming here,” Seonghwa soothed, his voice sounding further away from the phone as he tugged his fellow omega into a tight embrace. “We’ll take care of him,” he said. “Mingi will learn what a pack is supposed to be with us.”
“There’s one other thing that you should know,” he said, pulling off of the highway and into a quaint residential area. “The chemical burns— they destroyed his sense of smell. Permanently.”

Summary
Mingi's spent a decade in love with his best friend Jongho. Jongho's spent a decade telling his best friend Mingi the details of every date he's gone home with—and there have been many.
Together, they host a horror-story podcast called "Out of this World!", where they read and review original works from their listeners. Sometimes, they even read their listeners' fanfictions about themselves for a good laugh. In these stories, they usually die: they've been hunted down by cryptids, whisked away by aliens, and sent to their deaths in the chateaus and remote islands of the horror classics.
One day, they read a story where they are stalked and killed in their recording studio. That's when things start to get weird. One after another, they start to see parts of the story play out in real life. Soon enough it becomes clear: they're hurtling toward the story's ending, and they have to change it.
If they're lucky, they'll figure out who's threatening them. If they're lucky, they'll survive. If they're lucky, they'll make it through everything together.
