The clippers turn off again.

“You’re already bones. Where’d you get that idea?”
Qui-Gon steps quietly closer to the door.
“You’re scaring me, O’Ben,” Feemor says softly.(Obi-Wan suffers from a genetic and force-based condition that makes him want to drown himself in a bog. And sometimes that bog is the shape of a sink.)

Obi-Wan was hurt. He was bleeding and wouldn't wake up. Little Anakin, only recently freed from slavery, went to the cockpit of the ship to send a distress call. He took a deep breath, then, as steadily as he could, spoke into the transmitter. “We need help, please. I don’t know where we are and we need help. Is anyone there?”
The distress call was answered and it changed everything.

Summary

Glancing around the room he’d been led to, he marveled at the stonework and beautiful decorations of the room, even as the dwarf led him to a cot, and he sat down, wrapping the coat tighter around himself. It wasn’t hard to do, the thing was massive on him and he felt like he was drowning in fabric and fur. Altogether the most comfortable he’d been in years.
An older dwarf bustled into the room, setting things down on a table before coming over to look at him. “Right. What’s happening- they said you were found in the orc camp, eh little halfling?”
Bilbo bristled at the term, and the older dwarf tried to look him over, poking and prodding at him even as Bilbo tried to swat him away.
He didn’t want to be looked at, and he wasn’t half of anything!
Or: After destroying a pack of orcs, crown prince Thorin finds that they'd kept a hobbit slave, whose curse prevents him from speaking.
This is only the first mystery that this hobbit presents to him.
