“Oh my God,” Robin says, and is inundated by several mouthwatering visions of what Nancy could’ve been doing to discover this. “You totally explored yourself before you texted me.”
She forces herself to think of anything but Nancy touching herself. “Not important. How do we find information on this? We can’t just ask Reddit.”
“Do you have a Reddit account?” Nancy asks, looking like she doesn’t want to know.
Robin chooses not to answer that. “Actually, we’re all being tracked six ways to Sunday. I’m pretty sure that saying “help, my girlfriend grew a werewolf dick” on Tumblr would get the feds at my door.”

“Silver bullets,” Nancy breathes, feeling the teeth on her neck press down for a moment, testing the give of her skin before letting up. “Try anything,” she continues, thumbing the safety but not quite flicking it, “and I kill you.”
There’s a moment of silence—and then Robin shudders, once, and pulls away ever so slightly. Her eyes are wide but what little of her face is visible, looks pleased. “If this is your way of telling a girl no, you could’ve just said so."
“I didn’t say no.”
“Then what’s the gun for, Nance?”
“Consider it insurance. You try to turn me into a dog…”
“You turn me into a splatter on the wall,” Robin says, looking vaguely charmed.
or, Nancy always knew she’d make up for all her goody two shoes behavior in high school eventually. She just thought the monster hunting gig was rebellion enough. Obviously, she was wrong.

And he should be bitter when he says it. He should be bitter and vindictive and angry but he isn’t. He’s just… sad.

Summary
Tommy is Death.
A short three word sentence, simple in presentation but so much more complicated beyond it.
He isn't human, and it's his duty, as has been allowed by the universe, to draw spirits from the dark, from dirt and flesh, to guide and love and protect, and he hasn't always been like this, but that's a story for another time.
For now, Tommy is Death, and he is who guides creatures into rest but doesn't choose when they die, and he is kind, is love, is the shepherd, the protector, the warden of all life and that which is beyond it.
And for a time, that was enough. That was all.
