Summary
EDIT: As of 6/24/26, this fic is on an indefinite HIATUS. Updates won't be happening for a long time!
No one wants to befriend the bully of the show, especially one as insufferable as Shrimpo! Even after the show ended, and there are more important matters to worry about, that sentiment is still true.
The more he grows tired of Gardenview, following many interactions with a music box and other toons, the more he wishes for more in his life. The opportunity arises in the most unimaginable way for both Shrimpo and Boxten.Credit to Just_A_Bun on here for helping out with A LOT of ideas for this fic. MASSIVE KUDOS TO YOU!

Summary
Love is a fickle thing. Strange, frustrating, and somehow bizarrely rewarding.
Snout learns this the hard way when his world comes crashing down, dumped, discarded, and left watching his ex run off with someone who looks suspiciously familiar and just when he thinks he's at rock bottom, a new dilemma presents itself: what if the only person who truly understands his heartbreak is... himself?
With Star offering cryptic, sappy wisdom, an overbearing Twisted admirer staking his claim, and a secret that could send the whole center into a panic, Snout finds himself asking the one question no one should ever have to ask-
"Is it normal to fall in love with yourself?"
This story is a Dandy's World AU that takes place in the Night Shift universe. The character's personalities and physical appearances can and will differ from their canon counterparts.
Content Warning:
This story explores darker themes, including relationship abuse, mental and physical abuse. While all content is written and handled as tastefully as possible, some scenes may still be triggering to readers.
