Obligatory psychopathic Craig who dotes (has a relatively healthy obsession, I'm sure) on morally-grey-but-overall-a-good-person-probably Kyle Broflovski trope that the Cryle community must at least make another rendition of annually as tradition. Yes, this is required—and is a prerequisite before you can move up the Cryle ladder, okay? Next is a situationship multichapter fic where Craig and Kyle are both too prideful to admit they're in love with each other.
Kidding aside; astonishing narrative voices, great atmosphere, lovely one-liners, and a banger dynamic that I'm waiting, *craving*, more of. They're gonna fall in love? How the hell is that gonna happen? Too excited. Mwa.

“What a fucking asshole!” Kyle seethes as he watches Craig load the ladder back onto his truck once the hailstorm comes to an end. Craig walks halfway back up the driveway, lifts his hat, and runs a hand through his dark hair. He stares at the front door for a few seconds, completely oblivious to Kyle’s burning glare, before heaving a sigh and returning back to his truck. Stan joins Kyle at the window just as he pulls away from the curb.
“Was that the insurance guy?” Stan asks through a yawn.
“Yeah, and he doesn’t know shit!”

I feel like there is often a lack of awkward Craig, and this fic perfectly embodies the kind of Craig I believe in. Kyle, too. He's so stuck up his own ass, it's wonderful. Stuffed to the brim full of awkwardness, pride, haphazard chemistry, and god-forsaken insurance troubles, reread at least quarterly.

There was a rumour that Craig Tucker had a boyfriend who lived in Denver. It was Stan who had told him, somewhere between a conversation about football and Wendy, who had been the one to tell Stan. No one knew the kid’s name, or which school he went to, or what he looked like, because whenever someone asked one of Craig’s friends they rolled their eyes and said it was all bullshit.
That Craig would tell them if he had a boyfriend. Had you even met Craig Tucker? Since when was he shy about anything?
Kyle knew better.

Kyle’s never seen a soulmate tag with an exclamation mark before. It probably means ‘Leopold Stotch!’ and Kenny are extra-meant to be together, or something. It’s nothing compared to the scraggly block letters printed on Kyle’s own flesh: STANLEY MARSH, the skin surrounding it a glaring red, from where he tried to scratch it off.
It’s immovable, of course. Kyle could take a knife to his chest, drag it right down the centre of his ribcage, and he’d still find the words etched into his bones. But that doesn’t change what’s in his heart. He’s spent years pumping blood in Kenny’s name. All for nothing.

One of my most favorite K2 fics of all time, all that lovely fluff-angst and short porn with plot perfectly fitting in 14k words.
The amount of praise I could give this fic– agh its just chef kiss, it's just perfection in its finest. This fic single-handedly made the soulmate trope so much more interesting and overall better to read. THIS is a soulmate fic that can engage the viewers. THIS!!!!
