Mysaria was in bed, her long, dark hair unbound, her eyes gleaming in the faint light of the fire left burning in the hearth, to chase away the cold of Dragonstone’s stony halls. For a moment, it seemed to Rhaenyra that what she saw was a tableau, something staged, as if Mysaria had laid down and arranged to seem newly awakened only a heartbeat before Rhaenyra had burst into her room.
