Summary
The neighbours kid, Krishna as he inferred from all the shouting the kids did when playing. Was staring at him from the windowsill.
He was dark-skinned, curly haired. Arjun wondered if he even went to school, the PE teacher kept nagging him about his hair cut while this guy had it till his shoulders. The first floor had this stairway leading to the ground, with a window in the middle. The boy had his arms crossed on the sill as he stared. He felt overly conscious.
Arjun continued playing until he felt the staring bore holes into him. At last, he met the gaze of the mysterious boy. He was about to ask a question when the boy chose to go first.

Summary
His own brothers weren’t particularly interested, and neither are his cousins. After all, the practice took up much of their time. Arjun moved towards the sound. He couldn’t describe how the flute sounded exactly. It was an oxymoron in itself. It wasn’t cold, though it caused shivering. It wasn’t hot, yet it burned. Though it wasn’t a weapon, it cut. He made his way through the thick trees and at last found a clearing.
He was met by the back of a boy. No less young, maybe older even. He sat on a horizontal log, growing moss and mushrooms, and was facing the river. He wore a simple yellow dhoti and had a peacock feather tucked messily in his curly hair. Arjun took a few moments to think of what to say. Unfortunately, in the middle of it, he adjusted his foot, and the stick under his foot creaked under tension. Making a sound.
