Summary
Just when Cassandra thought her luck couldn't get any worse, fate played a right cruel trick on her: she got accidentally sent back to 1977, twenty years into the past. And to top it all off, she couldn't see a bloody thing. Dumbledore finds her in the Room of Requirement, at death's door.
Now she's all alone, with no one to turn to. Her parents haven't even met yet, and her friends haven't been born. And if word got out that a seventeen-year-old girl had travelled through time, it could put her in serious danger at a time when Voldemort's breathing down everyone's necks, terrorising all of Britain. Without the device that brought her to the past, she's simply trapped there for good. And no matter how good a new identity they give her, or how many perks the Minister throws her way, she feels like she's lost everything.
But a tiny spark flickers inside her. If she can't go back to the future, at least she'll make sure no one else suffers the way she's suffering—and more than that, she'll hunt down the ones who cornered her that night in June 1997 and make them pay.

Summary
The year is 1977. Lily Evans is a brilliant Gryffindor student whom Dumbledore has granted the opportunity to be Head Girl—something that, for a Muggle-born witch, means a damn sight more than any pure-blood or half-blood wizard could ever understand. Her plan is simple: get good grades, share her Head duties in peace with James Potter, the Head Boy from her own house, and keep her wits about her in a castle where some people would love to see her dead just because of some daft, bigoted beliefs.
But James has plans of his own. He's been head-over-heels for Lily since he was fifteen, and she'd knocked him back time and time again through fifth and sixth year. He knows this year is his last shot at convincing Lily Evans to go out with him—even if it's just one single date—before he's off to train with a professional Quidditch team. And James Potter isn't a bloke who's used to losing.
And no matter how much Lily Evans flat-out denies she could ever be interested in that boy—the one who, a few years back, she thought was shallow, childish, and an absolute toe-rag—deep down she's fully aware she's been watching him for longer than she'd ever care to admit.
I don't agree with any of JKR's statements.
