Summary
Dean is steaming some milk by the pick-up counter when Castiel comes up to bus his dishes.
“It was wonderful,” he says when Dean shuts off the steaming wand.
“Yeah, you seemed like you liked it,” replies Dean, looking back at the table where Castiel had just been sitting.
Castiel shrugs. “It brought back some very happy memories.”
Dean’s face softens. He opens and closes his mouth. Opens it again. “I make it every Friday. Come back next week for another round.”
“I just might,” says Castiel, meaning it.
Or, the one where Dean's the owner of a local bakery, and Castiel's the kindergarten teacher who stumbles across the bakery while walking home from work. Turns out he and Dean share more than a love for lemon tarts.

“Listen,” Dean says, steeling himself. “I’m not ready to talk about what you said. But, there’s one thing I have to tell you.” He sets down his coffee and takes the deepest breath he can. He still can’t make himself look at Castiel. “There’s one thing you said that I have to...you said the one thing you want, you can’t ever have.”
Another pause. Fuck, he doesn’t understand why this is so hard. Dean’s killed just about every monster kind known to man; he’s punched Hitler and God. He’s been to Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory. He’s been to alternate universes, faced off against deities from all over the globe. But he can’t look Castiel in the eyes and tell him...tell him….
He thinks, though, that just maybe he can start to show him.
“Nobody ever said you can’t have it,” he whispers. And then he takes Castiel’s hand into his own, and holds it.

"Credence takes in the man’s face briefly, then immediately bows his head and averts his eyes to stare down at the man’s shoes instead. 'I’m so sorry. Excuse me,' he says emphatically.
The man says nothing at first. Credence gives himself permission to quickly glance up from the man’s expensive black leather shoes to his smooth, unreasonably handsome face. He tells himself it’s to assess how much offense he’s caused, but really it’s to look once more at the man’s lips. As soon as he takes in the man’s features—cold and impenetrable as they are—his gaze falls ground-ward again. But not before catching the curious glint in the man’s hard eyes.
'Nevermind it,' the man says brusquely. 'The fault is mine. Have a nice afternoon.' Then he’s off, already brushing the metaphorical dust of the encounter off his shoulders, and Credence right along with it."
Or, a modern AU were Credence Barebone learns he's an Obscurial the hard way, and with a lot of time and a lot of love, he comes out the other side a better man for it.

Summary
so, good friday is basically dead. defunct. done. but for y e a r s i've talked about writing little unconnected snippets within the justified vamp au universe, that have no thread or timeline beyond being all the fun shit i was hoping to put into good friday before i abandoned that fic. so these are just the juicy indulgent fun parts of writing an au about raylan as a vampire and tim as basically an ex-vampire hunter, falling in prickly love and navigating some kind of relationship together.
i'll post any snippets to this fic as chapters, so subscribe to this if you want any updates if/when i write more scenes.
a lot of you may know that elvis perkins has been a huge musical inspiration for this au, and he has an album called "elvis perkins in dearland." so, to honor that, i've named this vignette collection after that album, and all vignettes will be titled after an elvis perkins song.

Summary
For someone he'd hero-worshipped for so long, Steve Rogers in the flesh is a pretty big disappointment. For one thing, he keeps looking at Tony as though he reminds him of someone else, and even if he never says anything, Tony's pretty sure it's his father. A lifetime of not measuring up to Howard's expectations is more than enough, thank you very much, and he's certainly not going to make an effort to live up to any of Steve's. Steve's pretty clearly failed to live up to his expectations, in any case, and that's not hypocritical at all.
