Yorknew was a vile city.
But from these depths rose a - hero was not the right word. The have-nots loved him and the haves feared him, hated him, wondered who this mole was in their ranks who took the upper echelon’s dirty laundry and flung it out to dry. Backroom deals and recordings made it to the paper. Especially corrupt or violent officials were left strung up (alive, though he didn’t seem to care much if they lasted or not) with clippings of their wrongdoings fluttering around them.
To some, he was a folk hero. To others, he was a nightmare given flesh. To all he was a reckoning dressed in black and silver and red.
He signed his letters and elaborately staged scenes with Bloody Chain.

Summary
Mike Wheeler is utterly terrified of water. This is a problem because A, the town he lives in is a seaside village, two, he lives on a boat in said village, and D, boats live on water. Unfortunately for him, his mother thinks that the summer of 1987 is the perfect opportunity for Mike to both conquer his aquaphobia and get a job to keep himself busy.
Mike is placed as an intern at the local aquarium in hopes that he’ll cure his fear of water and hopefully scrape some cash along with it, but what happens when late one night, a monster from the ocean falls into the empty killer whale enclosure? A monster who’s hurt, afraid, and in need of help that seemingly only Mike can provide?

Summary
“Will Byers?”
Will glances around, as if there is another Will Byers in their vicinity. He manages a small smile. “Yeah, it’s- uh. It’s me.”
Mike rushes forward, and all he can think is holy shit, Will is alive, as he’s throwing his arms around the other boy and tugging him in for a crushing hug. It isn’t until Will is secure, nestled–maybe a bit stiffly–in his arms, that Mike starts crying.
“I thought you were dead,” Mike murmurs, muffled by Will’s jacket. He sniffles. “I thought- we- they told us you were dead.”
Or, Will was never found in S1, but survives in the Upside Down until 1987 due to his powers and connection with Vecna. Cue Mike, an ill-timed trip to the Upside Down, and a lot of feelings.

“It’ll take some time to get it right,” said Remus, rubbing at his eyes, “and I probably need a N.E.W.T.-level charms book. In the meantime, what do you reckon the password should be?”
James cleared his throat, raising a hand in grave salute as if he were being sworn in as Supreme Mugwump. “How about, I, a veritable Marauder of the highest order, solemnly swear that this most troublesome artifact shall be used in the name of highest mischief, until which time said mischief has been managed.”
Remus gave James a bemused look. “You think the password ought to be, I, a Marauder, solemnly—”
“I, a veritable Maruader of the highest order,” James corrected.
“All right, you think it should be, I, a veritable Marauder of the highest order, solemnly swear that… er…What was the rest of it?”
“What a stupid password,” Sirius interjected before James could offer Remus the rest. “How about just, I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.”
“Fine,” said James begrudgingly, “but we need a password to clear the map off, too. How about, I hereby proclaim that—”
“How about, Mischief managed,” Remus interrupted.
James frowned. “I dunno…where’s the ceremony? Where’s the flair?”
