    Summary

Carefully, she places her hand atop her flame-red head. “Alicia,” she tries, than again more firmly over her sister’s wails, “Alicia. I’ll help you make your friend.” Alicia’s cries cease and she looks up at Clea with huge, watery, hopeful eyes.

(Little Alicia tries to make a friend of her own in Verso's Canvas. Clea decides to help.)

    Summary

It had been several months since Verso's canvas had been erased. Several months since the Dessendre family had said good bye to him forever. And yet nothing felt normal. Aline and Alicia stayed in their rooms while Clea and Renoir took on all the responsibilities of the world around them. Everything seemed so bleak...until one day, when Clea knocked on Alicia's door and said just one thing: "Let's paint together."

    Summary

Clea pulls out a map one day and tells Alicia to point to a spot on it.

She does, and they circle it with a felt-tip pen, looking the name up online on Clea’s beat up old laptop (which is the only computer they own that wasn’t destroyed in the fire).

It’s some backwater village named Lumière.

or: After Verso dies and they lose everything in the fire, the Dessendre sisters leave Paris behind.
