He promised he would be good and listen and get better at sandwiches, but the Nice Man only looked away. “I care about you, Dick,” the man sighed, “but you’re meant for a bigger life than this. You and Mr. Wayne… you’ll do good things. So many good things.” Dick basked briefly in the hug that followed, but when he asked the man how he could be so sure Dick was supposed to be with Mr. Wayne, the man said nothing.

Summary
