Summary
Warcross is the most popular video game in the world. Everyone has NeuroLink glasses or contacts to connect to the virtual world and enhance their everyday life, including Will Byers, who loves to play Warcross more than anything else.
The virtual reality game offers a fun escape that he’s enjoyed his whole life. Enter a unique map, collect power-ups, twist the game to your favor, and steal the opposing team’s artifact. It’s as easy as that.
He’s played for years, and his high rank shows his obvious skill, even though he’s nowhere near the levels of professional Warcross players, who both stream and record content for viewers online and also compete in the annual in-person Warcross tournament hosted by the owner company: Brenner Games. The whole world tunes in to watch how the teams conquer the digitized maps and obstacles as they fight for fame and fortune.
During Will’s summer break, the about-to-be-senior in high school’s life is changed with one single match, and suddenly he’s thrown under the spotlight as an emerging Wildcard –a new up-and-coming player added to a professional team– and competing alongside famous players such as Max Mayfield, Dustin Henderson, and Mike Wheeler.

Summary
(Byler one shot! ❄️)
After a long day, Mike just wants to practice some figure skating at his local rink. Unfortunately, it’s closed. Fortunately, a cute hockey player named Will who just so happens to have connections to the owner and a key to the building, arrives at just the right moment. They skate together, listen to Fleetwood Mac, and Mike is a pretty big gay mess.
-
Nearing footsteps crunching on the salt-sprinkled sidewalk cause Mike to jump away from the door. He looks to his left as a boy around his age approaches from the parking lot, shoving his keys into the back pocket of his sweats. He’s wrapped up cozily, in a thick winter jacket and big, fur-lined snow boots. A hockey bag is slung on one arm casually with a stick peeking out of the top.
The boy looks up and they meet eyes.
“Oh!” The boy says, obviously surprised to see Mike.

Summary
It's the middle of the night and Barty can't sleep. He's worried about so many things. The tension of the war building up, recent events, and the safety of the people he cares about. All he wants is to fucking sleep, but he can't. So he goes to the one person who calms him down no matter what.
-
Fuck it. Barty scrubs at his eyes and pads softly to Evan’s bed, feeling an awful lot like a kid waking up from a nightmare about to open their parent’s bedroom door in the middle of the night. Of course, nine-year-old Barty would always consider it, staring in the dark, his hand stuck on the doorknob waiting to be opened.
It would always remain closed.
