It had only been two days since Dazai returned to the Port Mafia because of their threat.
Dazai was taking a walk for fresh air when he spotted a trembling child trying to hide. The kid felt his stare, looked back with a serious, knowing gaze, and Dazai met his eyes. He knew something was wrong with the boy, but he still couldn't put his finger on what. Well, that wasn't his problem! If he was still with the Agency, he might have helped, but back in the Port Mafia, he couldn't drag another child into that life. He had enough on his conscience with what happened with Q, Akutagawa, and Gin... So he just kept walking, contemplating a new way to kill himself.Suddenly, a hard blow to the head made him stumble, and his vision blurred. He couldn't recognize the person in front of him. A pill was forced into his mouth, quickly followed by water, compelling him to swallow it. The person ran away, leaving an almost unconscious Dazai.
Then the pain hit: a burning sensation as if his body was on fire and his bones were melting. Sometime later, the pain stopped, but everything was different... Dazai opened his eyes in surprise...He was a nine-year-old child again?!

“The pups were over today?” He asks sweetly, curling around Dazai’s back and holding him close once he’s gotten in the nest, careful not to destroy any of his lover’s hard work.
“Mm… yeah… they brought me a new blanket.”
There’s a quiet sense of joy in Dazai’s tone that Chuuya easily picks up on. He wants his mate to always sound like this, to always be happy and content with his life and the people in it. The Dazai that Chuuya knew when they were teenagers didn’t let himself feel happy like this, let alone even really know what happiness felt like in the first place. Leaving the Port Mafia was really good for him, even if it took Chuuya too long to realize that. The Agency is a healthy environment filled with love and acceptance, something Dazai has always needed and never had in the Mafia.
“We’ll have to treat them to something as thanks."
Or: Chuuya has had a long day and he just wants to cuddle his mate.
