Summary
“Buck? Buck, what happened?”
Eddie's tone changed completely, and Buck could feel the difference even through the phone.
“Eddie… I-I’m sorry… p-please forgive me.”
On the other end, Buck heard Eddie telling Chris to get dressed, and Buck started crying even harder.
“E-Eddie, don't let Chris see this.”

Summary
Shane is a famous professional hockey player, used to pressure, fame, and a perfectly controlled life. Everything in his world revolves around games, training, and maintaining a flawless public image.
Ilya is one of Shane’s fans, but not an ordinary one. He is sick and spends most of his life in a hospital. His only escape from reality is hockey — and especially Shane, the player he quietly admires and follows with deep emotional attachment.
It all begins with a simple message sent from a hospital bed. Shane, surprised by Ilya’s sincerity and unusual intensity, replies. From that moment, what seems like a casual exchange slowly turns into something far more meaningful.
As they talk more and more, Shane starts breaking out of his cold, controlled routine and discovers a side of himself he has never explored before. Ilya, on the other hand, finds more than just an idol — he finds an anchor, something that gives him a reason to keep fighting.
But their connection remains fragile:
Shane is a public sports star constantly under scrutiny
Ilya is a sick boy hidden behind hospital walls
their worlds were never meant to collide.

Summary
Ilya wakes up in rust orange scrubs and immediately wishes he hadn't.
The bed's too small, the TV, nestled in its plastic, protective prison, is still playing The Big Bang Theory, and he really has to piss. He sits up, fumbling blindly to his right for the call button to get the nurse, who will then allow him the privilege of leaving his sad, tiny room to use the bathroom across the hall while she watches through a square window in the door. But Ilya supposes he should probably get used to the lack of privacy, now that he's gotten himself committed.
The Long Game AU where Shane and Ilya don't immediately make up after the Boxing Day Fight.
