Summary
Admittedly, Robby was more than just a bit prickly. But with Dennis, it wasn’t difficult to see beneath the hardened exterior that Robby had constructed after years of running the ED; skin like a scaled callus and an attitude to match. With Dennis, Robby saved a shred of that underlying kindness in the form of small smiles, a steadying hand, and a supportive word. All things Dennis wasn’t necessarily used to. It was… nice. Robby was nice.
Most of the time.
Halfway into his three-month rotation in the Pitt, Dennis takes advantage of a lull in the ED's near-constant madness to teach his chief attending, Dr. Robby, how to play a fishing minigame.

Summary
“A little pervy, is it not?”
Dennis’s throat felt dry as the older man’s fingers started to stroke lightly, a tingle working its way up his entire leg. He licked his lips as they parted, but he couldn’t force any sound out.
“Here.” Another shot glass Robby had pulled from the overflowing pile on the table was pressed against Dennis’s lips, giving him no choice but to take it. “That’s good.” He could feel Robby’s fingers creep a little higher, just about an inch.
OR
The Pitt crew go out for drinks, and Robby helps Dennis loosen up with a couple of drinks. Maybe in other ways, too.

Summary
“If you want this to stop,” Dennis adds quietly, uncertainty creeping in, “it will.”
Robby sets his glass down on the desk with a decisive clink. Dennis follows suit, placing his glass on the floor at the edge of the bed. Robby takes a step forward, another, until he’s standing between Dennis’s spread legs. Dennis tilts his head back to meet his gaze.
“I don’t think,” Robby says slowly, voice rough, “I’ve ever been good at stopping this.”
Four years after a complicated relationship with his intern, Robby runs into Dennis again during a medical conference. Dennis is more confident now, happier, and worst of all, married. Robby wants to ruin it all.

Summary
“Tough shit, brother. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”
The “game” being who, between Jack and Robby, would have the most patients with foreign objects lodged in their asses this holiday season. Jack eked out the win with 21; Robby only had 17.
“It’s not fair,” Robby grumbled. “No one’s trying to get it on at 11 in the morning. That's the kind of shit you do after the sun goes down.”
Jack shrugged. “You agreed to the terms and conditions. Here, turn around, let me get the back.”
The “prize” that Robby won stared at him in the mirror as Jack zipped up the back of his costume. It was the annual PTMC holiday/new year’s party (lumped together, because they couldn’t be fucked to have two separate parties, and it was cheaper), and Robby would be attending dressed as Santa Claus. The scratchy white beard was practically suffocating him, and the shiny red fabric of the coat and pants was stretched tight across his arms, stomach, and thighs.
