Buck is here.
Buck is here, in the emergency room. Eddie’s brain struggles to catch up, but his feet are miles ahead of him. He takes off before he even realizes what he’s doing, his heart dropping out of his chest to the beat of his footsteps against the floor.
Buck is here when he shouldn’t be, when he should be safe and off the clock, and he’s laid out on a stretcher in half of his turnouts, and when Eddie gets close he can see that he’s covered in blood.

“You’re so fucking needy and it just doesn’t end!”
“Maybe it should.”
Buck’s eyes widen as he turns his face towards the source of the voice. He feels the color in his face leave as he comes across a very calm Eddie walking towards them with his hands tucked in his jeans.
“This is between me and Evan,” Tommy grumbled, grabbing Buck’s wrist to pull him to his side but the blonde refuses to move as he’s reminded of the way Tommy had left him in the parking lot after yelling at him.
Eddie glances at Buck once and it’s like something clicks into place as he grips Tommy’s wrist forcing the man to release Buck. He gently holds Buck’s wrist to push him back to stand between the two. “Not when you’re yelling at him in the middle of a store. You can come find him at his place to talk, if you want to talk that is. Because this,” he gestures between them, “doesn’t look like talking.”
He doesn’t give Tommy a chance to respond as he clasps a gentle hand around Buck’s wrist and pulls him along–a stark parallel to the way Tommy had jerked him along like a dog.
OR 5 times Buck compares Tommy and Eddie’s touch and the one time he doesn’t.

The phone barely rang before Eddie answered.
„Buck? Where are you?“
Eddie sounded worried but also confused and maybe a little bit angry.
A sob escaped Buck before he could do anything about it. Relief washed over him
„Ed’s…,“ he sobbed openly. „I need help. Please.“
„Okay baby. I can help. What happened? Where are you?”
Buck tried to breathe but it came out as panicked gasps. “I—I’m hurt—I’m really hurt—I can’t—Ed’s, I can’t get it off—”
„Can‘t get what off?“
Eddie sounded confused now.
„A bear trap. Around my ankle,“ Buck sobbed again by could hear Eddie’s sharp inhale from the other side of the line.
OR
after a fight with his boyfriend, Buck goes to clear his head. Things go horrible wrong.

“Took an uber.”
“Does Maddie know?” Silence. “Does anyone?” More silence. More of Buck refusing to meet his gaze, staring at the door like he thought he could entice Eddie to leave by the power of suggestion. Well, good fucking luck, Eddie thought. Wild horses, and all that. “Why didn’t you call anyone?” he demanded. “Why didn’t you call me?”
“I did!” Buck snarled. The momentum of his indignation carried him into a sitting position, and Eddie could see him flinch with the pain of it. His unnaturally stoic front was gone, and something raw and wrenching took its place; it occurred to Eddie that he’d never heard Buck raise his voice before. “I did call you, Eddie! As I was bleeding out on my kitchen floor. You. Didn’t. Answer.”

The squatter in Buck's attic has a knife. Buck has a bit of a breakdown. Eddie has a plan to make everything right.
