But after six months, memories start to fade and blur, and that's something Edward cannot accept.

Blackbeard stopped, close enough and adjusting his grip on the mace. Frenchie screwed his eyes shut, sucking in a breath, willing himself not to cry. He’d done nothing wrong, he’d done nothing wrong, he’d done nothing wrong and he was going to die anyway.
“I have a favour to ask you.”
__Frenchie doesn't know why he's still alive after finishing the new flag. The reason is something he probably could have seen coming.
