A tool is created to be used. An experiment is performed to be observed. A test subject, then, is both tool and experiment, to be watched and used. None would treat a human so cruelly- but they weren't human, were they?
Could something that wasn't human know love? Could something that wasn't human even deserve it? When to not only live but thrive is nothing more than a dream, perhaps it's kinder to never consider it in the first place.

It was those crude words spoken by Date that had led Hina to her current situation, holding tight to Sakura’s arm as they rode out to the city in question. She still wasn’t entirely sure how this had ended up happening- but any time spent with Sakura and Sakura was time well spent in her opinion, so it wasn’t a bad thing.
Or, Hina goes on vacation to try to work things out with the women she loves most in the world.

It's ABIS's summer vacation, hosted by Ryuki at his family's old summer home on a small island off the southern coast of Japan. It should be the perfect time- his friends are here, there's no work resposibilities, and nobody trying to remind him of the existential dread living in the back of his mind. It should be fun, relaxing even! But unfortunately for him, that won't be the case- not when a sudden death throws him into a week of endless looping, caught in a maze of tempermental reality.
Just what might it take to free everyone from the loop, and will he be able to bear the cost?

Kuruto was only 6 years old when he was taken, reborn by the mercy of his mother's teachings. Uru had been abandoned practically before he was born, rejecting the world that rejected him. With fate changing hands, their lives became radically different- a blessing for one is destruction for another; nothing can be gained without an equal loss.
The world has changed, futures rewritten, and only time can tell how the new world will unfold.

It was said something as simple as the flap of a butterfly's wings could change the fate of entire worlds. Chance meetings could change outcomes drastically, a family brought together by happenstance could have the potential to alter history dramatically. It was mere coincidence more than anything else that the twins had met Mizuki one day, long ago at this point. But that meeting would be enough to change fate's tapestry- maybe this time, it could be for the better.

Date still remembered the first time he wandered into the Ruby Phoenix, exhausted from a long day’s work and disappointed to find Marble closed for the night. The scent of smoke and alcohol was heavy in the air, gentle haze easing his frustrations already.
The establishment's proprietor was an interesting man, drawing Date in for all the walls he put up around himself. It should've been clear from the first drink that their fates would be intertwined from then on, more deeply than Date ever could've known.

Things weren’t supposed to be like this. Oh, it was inevitable- the pest would’ve arisen with or without him- but he could do nothing but fight against an impossible enemy and scowl at the sky, at the thought of the Powers that Be, for giving him an unwinnable task. Ten days now, he’d been callously fighting against the pest. And now Bachelor Kuruto Ryuki was as broken as the grounds beneath his feet, and just as infected.

Date first saw Ryuki again on the night he returned, walking past the man without a second glance. He was neck-deep in alcohol anyways, so it wasn’t like he could even notice him- he was here to talk to Gen, not Ryuki. But he saw him again. And again. And again and again, and it was impossible to hold a grudge when he knew he was half the reason Ryuki was in this state at all.
It truly was unfair that emotion could so easily triumph over reason sometimes.

Kuruto felt something inside of him break when he saw his twin’s core shatter.
They had been running for so long now, since their parents had died. They’d been trying to find somewhere safe, somewhere away from the danger. They hadn’t run far enough. He’d gathered the dull blue pieces of the core, carried them close, but nothing was the same anymore. It was as if some of his systems had simply failed when his twin had died. His other half was gone, and nothing could be the same anymore.
