Summary
Vox is tired. Of Valentino. Of Velvette. Of Alastor, and Hell, and everything in between. He can't escape, but he can cut himself off, piece by piece, until he feels nothing at all. Alastor takes exception to this approach and commissions a certain princess of Hell to fix his foe. Now Vox has a hotel of misfits on one side of him, overlords on the other, and Alastor crushing his cage ever smaller.
Clearly, the only way Vox will get any peace and quiet is to just kill God.
Valentino did always tell him that he had no chill.

Alastor has killed a lot of people during his life and gotten away scot-free. No evidence. No suspicion. No witnesses. Until now. The obvious solution is to add another number to his body count. Except, she’s five years old. The next best solution is to adopt her. Unofficially. Without telling her family.
As he learns, though, that might actually be an improvement for her. He also learns that being a parent is far more difficult than being a murderer.

The Nightmare King hollowed out its vessels, burning away who they were until only ash remained. Vessel after vessel, Grimm to child to child. Its summoners suspected nothing until it was too late, when it gleefully told them what they had done, then feasted on their pain. The Knight was no different, it thought.
