Summary
Among the most controversial of the religious practices of the Eighth House is the mysterious Rite of Purification. Outside of the Octavian cathedral’s inner circle, very little is known about this particular sacrament, which is said to be undergone by each Master Templar. The Templars themselves have been highly resistant to any scholarly research on the topic: of the four representatives the authors contacted, only one responded to inform us that the Templars of the White Glass were not currently accepting applications for records from extra-House scholars. No further comment was offered on the existence of the Rite of Purification nor its nature.
It will surprise few that a House so averse to any recognition of the common impulses of the human body would deflect any questions regarding a rite that is rumored to take the form of a group sex ritual.
