It’s his own look, the shaking feeling he gets when Beomgyu hits him with a particularly dazzling smile. The one he gets when Beomgyu rolls over in bed and blinks himself awake, eyelashes trapping Soobin's gaze.
Soobin hadn’t expected that.
Beomgyu is sick, and Soobin would do anything to help him - work three jobs to pay for his medication, nurse him through his pain flare-ups, care for him during his terrible heats. But adding another mate to their relationship might be a step too far.

A human. A pretty human. Even prettier than the puppy he first met, Beomgyu would admit.
"Hello. What's your name, little guy?" The pretty human whispers, his hand gently caressing the black and white feathers of his coat. Beomgyu had never experienced a touch as gentle as this ever since he left his hometown, it had always been harsh grips on his arms, a hand pulling his hair, or a glass shard against his neck.
Beomgyu lets out a happy trill and nuzzles his head against the hand. He delightedly notes the gasps from around him.
"I swear he can turn into a human, hyung. I literally have his stuff here." Kai said, raising said stuff higher in his hold.
"Then why won't he shift?" The ginger-haired man asked.
Kai says, a little too happily, "'cause he'll be naked if he does."
Beomgyu spent the last eleven months flying and running around in search for a new home. He wasn't expecting to find it in four other people, instead of a house itself. Maybe this time he's allowed to find comfort somewhere else other than stones, moss, and the branches of the forest trees.
