Summary
The man in black seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, with an almost lethal wound and the most powerful healing ability she had ever seen. Granted, considering her total lack of memory, she hadn't seen all that many, but it was still impressive.
He appeared to be in great pain yet entirely indifferent to his own suffering. He didn't ask for help and declined the one she offered. He went into the worst case of shock she could imagine - to the point of being downright scary! - and then he didn't seem to care about it anymore.
He was very strange, and just as beautiful. That was an undeniable fact.
While in Belobog on a side mission for the Stellaron Hunters, Blade stumbles upon a quirky young woman in an alley. An unimportant event under most circumstances, something to be left behind and forgotten. A first encounter that wasn't supposed to happen.
But it did. And because of it, a new "script" begins to unravel.

Summary
Reflected in the dark water is the visage of your dreams, the plum blossoms of your heart, the shadow of your moon, someone who danced for you, drank with you, smiled at you, smiled for you, someone who reminds you of the month of August, someone more beguiling than Chang'e. You lick your split lips, blood tastes of iron and sweet wine on your tongue. The black metal around your arms is warm still, telling you: he's here, he's here, he's here. He gently grasped your hands, milky white skin flickering and hiding behind azure silk with every careless twirl amidst the falling petals of purity, shining jade eyes and gasping pink lips irreversibly drawing you into this sacrilegious dance of spring and rain.
Or, Blade got lost in a forest while chasing after Dan Heng.

But the stranger did not concede so easily. "You yourself should have the answer. I believe I recognize you now. You are the slayer of Ifrit, are you not? I have heard the stories." The ice of his gaze was sharpening by the moment, brittle and bright like a glacier becoming molten as it refracted the kiss of the sun. "Tell me, what is a hero? You must know. You have become one, after all."
"I am the slayer of Ifrit," the Warrior acknowledged. "That does not make me a hero."

Set during MSQ 5.4, spoilers for all of Eden, m!WoL/Ardbert.
The Warrior watched Ardbert stalk all the way to the end of the wooden planks before staring fixedly at the waters, as if debating the value of just stepping onto the lake and frustrating himself with proof of his own intangibility. "Is there something on your mind?"
Pulling up his shoulders in a terse shrug that caused his armor to shift -- the layers of tightly-banded leather and metal sitting no less heavily upon his body, despite their lack of substance -- Ardbert puffed out a sigh and wheeled around. "I -- wanted to say thank you. Again. Not merely for saving the First and aiding in the restoration of the Empty."
