His breath in her face, the smell of caffeine so strong she felt her stomach churn. His hands invading her body — making her feel trapped and suffocated. She slid down the wall, — mainly because her knees gave in beneath her — brought both hands to her face and counted backwards from a hundred, trying to focus on anything else but Booth.
But it was impossible. Everything she thought about, he was right there.

All Jay could remember was flying to the ground as a loud bang rumbled around him. His head bounced off the concrete of the road and his eyes closed for a brief moment, the blow was something that he hadn’t expected in the slightest. They were supposed to grab the suspect and go, clearly that wasn’t the case. He slowly came around soon after, his eyes opening as the stale, disgusting smell of smoke brushed past his nose. His mind was foggy, but he knew where he was, who he was with… wait.. Hailey.
