This was normal - expected, he tried to console himself, fists clenching as Noob slowly turned towards him. Her gaze was cast downward in shame, refusing to meet the gaze of the other in fear of what their face might show.
"It’s nice to meet you,” they said, tone surprisingly even, not even a hint of fear or fake joy. Nothing like what she was used to. Her head snapped up, the smallest flame of hope flickering to life in her chest as a warm smile spread across the other's face, "I hope we can be good friends!”

Summary
“I’ll look to like, I suppose.” Sword nervously replied with a shrug of his shoulders. “I wouldn’t mind the union if it benefits the household.” Maybe this was how he finally convinced Illumina to see him as family. He’s already painfully obedient, he just needed to make himself useful too.
Sword felt his heart do a small jump in his chest as that thought flickered across his mind. He was going to like loving Coil, because loving Coil meant being loved by his family.

The stars are quiet and peaceful. But not in a mocking way, not in a judging way. To Rocket, it felt like they stared back at him, reflecting his emotions. The night sky was a blanket of comfort that rested over him when he was afraid. A big black void that assured him he’d rest somewhere beautiful when his time came. He’d rest somewhere he loved. An eternal reminder that he wasn’t really alone.
People talk of love like it stretches further than the stars in the night sky. Just as eternal and infinitely beautiful. But he just can't believe that's true. Not with most people.
