You always wear pastel dresses. Sometimes sparkly barrettes in your hair. One time you had cat ears, and he was mortified by how cute he thought it was. Another time, you wore a crisp sailor collar with heart-shaped buttons, and he stared at the photos online for longer than he’d admit.
But it never felt fake. Not once.
And that’s what keeps him coming back.
