Ranpo pretends not to remember him at first. It's the only way to preserve his dignity while he's actually trying not to crumble under the weight of his stupid twenty year old past-self, and usually he'd rather DIE than call himself stupid.
But slowly, the embarrassment fades. Because Ranpo realises something that day, something that makes his brain stir with a very unfamiliar emotion that he thinks is called 'longing'.
Poe is so much more brilliant than Ranpo could have ever imagined.

“Oh, really?” Tachihara says, sounding disappointed. He pauses for a second, clearly processing what Chuuya’s just told him, and then says, “Who is it?”
Chuuya certainly hadn’t budgeted for this. Panicking, he tries to think of the people that he knows that are single, and before he knows it, the first name that comes to mind is slipping out of his mouth. “With Dazai.” / After a momentary lapse in judgment, high school student Chuuya ends up having to pretend to date his enemy Dazai to get Tachihara off of his back - and quickly finds it's nowhere as bad as he'd imagined.

When Chuuya wakes up in an unfamiliar room, with an unfamiliar man who offers to make him breakfast, he will have to figure out just how he got here, and why. Nothing is as easy or as simple as it seems, and nothing makes sense. There's far too much that he doesn't remember, and everything's confusing.
So what will he do when he realizes that the unfamiliar man is actually someone very close to him? What will he do when he realizes he is no longer able to recognize his own home?

He remembers a small smile, eyes gentle and deep and dark. I'll always come for Chuuya.

Dazai has been distant with Chuuya these days, seeming to have grown bored of him and has been spending more and more time with Oda Sakunosuke. This sudden rift has consequences, and Chuuya will be the one to bear it.
