Summary
On March 7th, eight percent of Japan's population experienced Alteration. They became Metahumans. Out of that eight percent, only four men went on to become The Jackals.
Hinata, Sakusa, Bokuto, and Atsumu are The Jackals. MSBY's best and most elite group of Metahuman agents. After a mission goes awry, The Jackals are placed on a new initiative: they now must become the face of a new social movement geared towards integrating Metas into human society. It's no easy task. Thrust into the spotlight, The Jackals must learn how to be ambassadors and not mercenaries; even though humanity has long since rejected them.
It's not what they want to do at all. But they have to do it, because who else will? As they navigate their new role, trouble begins to brew within MSBY. Trouble that brings with it the potential to make everything The Jackals have come to care for all fall apart in the blink of an eye.

Summary
Marriage is something you always hear about growing up, or see from your parents, or witness on the sidelines from people in your life who find the loves of their lives and do something about it. Marriage, to Hinata, was never off the table. It just wasn't… a front and center item on the table.
And then, Hinata met Atsumu. His laugh. His tenacity. His awkwardness. His intelligence. The rough, calloused texture of his fingertips. The hunger in every one of his kisses. The moans he made as he made love. The soft candor his voice takes whenever he says "I love you" for Hinata and Hinata alone. He says it like a promise. A prayer. An offering. Only for Hinata—always for Hinata.
Hinata met Atsumu and then, well, his table grew bigger. Marriage fit perfectly at the center. The rest was history after that.

Lu Guang licks his way into Cheng Xiaoshi's mouth like he's thirsty. Like kissing Cheng Xiaoshi will fill his cup up until it spilled over and drowned them both. He holds Cheng Xiaoshi's face in the palms of his shaking hands and knocks their teeth together as they kiss like it's their last one. He always kisses Cheng Xiaoshi so desperately. As if he's searing the memory of their kiss onto his lips because he's afraid that's all he'll have left once it's done.
And Cheng Xiaoshi meets the desperation with purposeful strokes of his tongue along Lu Guang's. With his hands running patterns of circles and hearts and proclamations of forever, I'm yours along the arch of Lu Guang's spine. He slows their kissing down because it's a reminder they have all the time in the world. That this is theirs and only theirs and whatever they have will last. Because Cheng Xiaoshi will make it last.

“Wanna dance?” Eddie asks, leaning only slightly away to look at Buck. He’s smirking now, eyes traveling all over Buck’s face, taking in his expression and the color blooming on his cheeks.
There’s a look in Eddie’s eyes now, one that Buck hadn’t quite seen before this trip. Or had he? Did it just not mean to him then what he realizes, or thinks, it means now? Regardless, it confirms a thought that has been niggling at the back of his mind all night.

or, Buck visits Eddie in Texas a few months after he leaves LA. They road trip to Austin with Adriana to stay with Sophia, who has planned a night out on the town that none of them will soon forget - especially Buck and Eddie.

“Look,” Buck says. “It’s not like I-I’m gonna move back in or anything, but you're still in pain. A lot of it, and I know you’re trying to downplay it—don’t look at me like that—so just let me help out with stuff for a couple days.”
Eddie quirks his lip at him. “You wanna rub ointment on my cast rash?"
“Who else would,” Buck says. It was supposed to be a question, lighthearted, but it’s just there. It hangs in the air, a miasma of all of Buck’s fully-realized feelings stinking up the place.
It’s gonna be a long six to eight weeks.
Three months after Buck moves out and two days after Buck realizes he’s in love, Eddie gets badly injured on the job. Buck unofficially moves back in to look after him.
He’s gonna be normal about it.

Summary
Eddie gets this look on his face, like he’s about to ask for something, and then he shutters and goes back to rock-solid-Eddie who can hide his emotions and feelings, bottle them all up deep inside himself. Buck knows Eddie, has for so long now, that he can read him like ‘Eddie Diaz’ is a language only he is fluent in.
The point is, Eddie is lying, and Buck is trying really hard not to let it bother him, to give him the time and space to come to terms with it on his own and let Buck know when he is ready.
The point is, Buck is running out of patience.
Or, Eddie is lying, and Buck can't figure out about what.

Clint is only a couple of sips into his cardboard cup of coffee, his brain barely out of neutral, which is probably why it takes him so long to realize that some damn psycho is trying to kidnap his dog.
Excerpt:
“I’m not some charity case,” Bucky says pugnaciously.
“I didn’t think you were,” Clint answers back readily enough. “I mean, I can tell you’re fucked up for sure, but of the two of us, I’m probably the bigger disaster. My sleep schedule is shit, and I drink coffee straight from the pot. I sing in the shower even though I’m deaf as fuck. I have arrows everywhere because I’m an archer — did I tell you that? And I was raised in a literal circus, so I’m not exactly domestic. Let’s see, what else?” He squints down at the ground, rubbing the back of his neck. “Oh, yeah, I won the building in a poker game with the Russian mafia and every once in awhile they show up and try to take it back, but usually I handle it, no problem. Uh...”
Clint happens to looks up and Bucky’s eyes are wide, his mouth hanging open. Clint’s hand freezes where he’s rubbing the back of his neck, suddenly embarrassed. Yeah, when you put it all out there at once, it doesn’t sound so good.
