Akaashi’s cheeks turned a light shade of pink, and he looked towards the treeline in the distance, where the sun was finally sinking. He couldn’t imagine someone using your faults against you as a good thing, but he tried to picture it for Hinata’s sake. “What do you mean?”
“I mean I’d be fine with that person taking advantage of my vulnerabilities. But maybe it’s just that: I’d be okay with that person manipulating my flaws, but I trust that they won’t.” Hinata replied sagely. Akaashi gulped back the lump in his throat and inclined his face to Shouyou’s.
“It sounds like you’re speaking from experience,” he commented, lips twitching down. It was probably caused by the little ache in his spinal chord. Maybe from disappointment, maybe from being in this slouch for so long.

His joy at being so close to his most precious person inevitably overrode his concerns about the sudden and large shift in their day-to-day interactions, and in Oikawa’s rush to have him close also, he didn’t spare it much thought. Everything moved quickly, and suddenly they had a two bedroom apartment with only one receiving use, a second hand coffee machine, and matching socks. It was sickeningly sappy and domestic.
The setter’s more...peculiar habits also began to make an appearance.

Kyoutani had stopped going to volleyball practice, but he hadn't stopped going to volleyball, not entirely. Mondays he would make it to the Seijou locker room and although his palms itched to feel the weight of a volleyball and the sounds of sneakers squeaking against the gym floor sent shivers up his spine, he never made it on to the court. Realistically there were only a few meters separating the two rooms but to Kyoutani it felt like miles. He wanted to be there, but he was here; close yet far. Here because he had things to do, places to be, jobs to work, and because; his locker was the safest place for him to keep what little valuables he had.

He hated the way his eyes followed the short cropped blond hair through crowds. How quickly he found him during matches. He hated how his eyes followed every small movement. The way he tracked droplets of sweat till they disappeared into the collar of the others shirt. How his eyes would stray to the muscular thighs as he surged upward to spike a ball. Shigeru hated those small smiles that appeared when the other was working with animals, or found something amusing. He hated the triumphant grin that came with a set winning spike.
Most of all; Yahaba Shigeru hated Kyoutani Kentarou.
